ZyXEL's Hotspot Solution Enables Wi-Fi Internet Deployment by Small Businesses, Retail Outlets

Unlike conventional Hotspot equipment and services that require contracts, service fees and rigid commitments, the unique button- operated B-4000 is a flexible solution that combines a robust, secure gateway and easy-to-use one-touch printer allowing Hotspot operators and the resellers who install the product to customize the service.

A push of the button on the B-4000's integrated printer instantly produces user account information including billing, access codes and SSIDs used for accessing the Hotspot.

Supporting a business model specifically designed to generate additional customer revenue for the retailer, Internet access is controlled by requiring users to physically enter the business or retail location hosting the B-4000-enabled Hotspot

The B-4000 gateway is a complete Hotspot solution that incorporates customer billing and receipt-printing capabilities not found in other Hotspot systems, providing a unique "pay-for-use" business model. It provides a standalone, turnkey business solution for commercial businesses and retail outlets that, for the first time, does not require cumbersome integration or dependence on Internet service providers.
